Even though I look at your photograph
it is not the same as looking into your eyes:
it does not fulfill
	the desire to be with you,
the need to demonstrate
		my love.

I write this the way I do
so that you may touch the paper I have touched,
that you may feel the emotions behind these words
and know the sureness of my thought.

It is, my love,
the manner in which the universe is made –
the beauty is there to be perceived
if we but choose
		to perceive it.
