On Valentine's Day

My heart will leap so strongly
I'll laugh with glee the while!
(At least, my pulse will quicken,
And I will surely smile!)

I Love you so intensely
So brightly burns the flame
That home and friends are quite forgot--
(Did someone call my name?)

O say you love me dearly,
And that you will be mine
Pretend I am on bending knee
And be my Valentine!
