My sweetheart is so pretty
Of body and of face
She is the girl for me
The one I love to chase

I love my sweetheart
For her I'd give my life
But sometimes she says
She wants to be my wife

But then we had trouble
She asked money to borrow
So that was it
I'll not let her in my car
